This past Saturday my Dad and Denise decided to volunteer their time and do some trail maintenance on our beloved Mammoth Rock trail. This is a beautiful trail that we can walk to from our home in snowcreek. June 6th was National Trails Day, a day for all of us who use these trails to preserve, protect and maintain the trails we love.

We will always remember that you notched the post and hung the "Mammoth Rock Trail" sign. By the way, it was hard work for me. After 3 hours, I must say that my back and shoulders were sore. I like that, really makes one feel connected to things. -D
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun and rewarding weekend in beautiful Mammoth. Not to mention the great 12 mile hike to Valentine Lake!! Good for the body and soul. I also love the John Muir quote. He has some very powerful writing's about the Sierra. Love ya, Susan
